چکیده

Tuta absoluta (Meyrick, 1917) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) is a major pest of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) crops produced in the Azorean greenhouses. Despite concerns, no systematic study available to describe population dynamics T. and its natural enemies. The objective this was compare abundance (eggs larvae) native enemies, greenhouses under different production modes (biological, traditional intensive). A sampling program carried out during 2020-2021 two seasons spring-summer fall-winter. eggs larvae were higher intensive lower biological mode. Infestations by seasons. enemies recorded Macrolophus pygmaeus (Rambur, 1839) (Hemiptera: Miridae), Dicyphus cerastii Wagner, 1951 Miridae) Trichogramma achaeaeNagaraja & Nagarkatti, 1960 (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae). very low and, virtually, do not occur fall-winter We found significant difference between M. amongst from mode but D. more abundant on Parasitism rate achaeae does differ crop Considering concerns growers infestation levels their crops, together with we suggest use or an inoculative augmentative strategy control productions modes.

Effect of two solanaceous plants on developmental and population parameters of the tomato leaf miner, Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae).

Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) is an important tomato pest that also feeds on other host-plants from the Solanceae family. We studied the effect of two cultivated plants, tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) and potato Solanum tuberosum L. on the development and populational parameters of T. absoluta related with host-plant suitability. Larval developmental time, pupal weight, mean fecundity and an ...

First Observation and Identification of Some Natural Enemies Collected from Heavily Infested Tomato by Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) in Jordan

Biweekly field visits starting from January to the end of April 2011 were conducted to tomato fields (open and plastic houses) heavily infested with the tomato borer Tuta absoluta, in order to survey natural enemies associated with this pest. Three hemipterans were found: Orius albidipennis, Orius sp. (Anthocoridae) and Nesidiocoris tenuis (Miridae). In addition, the parasitic wasp Bracon (Habr...

Tomato moth larvae were sampled during four consecutive growing cycles, between 2003 and 2005, in 10 sites. Neochrysocharis formosa was present only in organic outdoor and protected crops, and predominantl...

Five new pesticides were evaluated for their effectiveness in the control of Tuta absoluta (Meyrick), (Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae) on tomato plant. The effect of pesticides against egg and larvae were estimated after 2, 5 and 7 days from application. The highest reduction percentage of eggs of Tuta absoluta during two successive seasons achieved by Emacit (81.25 and 74.5) % respectively after 7 ...
